Encompass Media Group has entered into an exclusive agreement to represent media for all of The Solar Electric Vehicle Company's no-gas, no-emissions, people movers that are placed at zoos, parks and gardens around the world.

The Solar Electric Vehicle Company, LLC (SEVC) and Encompass Media Group, Inc. (EMG) have announced an exclusive agreement to work together on providing corporate sponsored eco-friendly public transportation to zoos, parks and gardens around the world.

SEVC is a very unique electric vehicle company which provides its 14 passenger Solar-Electric People Mover to public and private institutions at no cost. The vehicles are partnered with environmentally conscience companies to help sponsor eco-friendly public transportation at these sites. Encompass Media Group is responsible for retaining corporate partnerships at each location. To date, more than 20 of the gas-free and emissions-free vehicles are scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of 2010. Zoos include San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix and Miami. Most recently, the Solar Electric People Mover was used at the Chicago Botanic Garden for tours of its new Plants Science Center.

“We are extremely proud to be able to provide our eco-friendly vehicles to some of the world’s most beautiful and important natural habitats,” said Larry Spatz, SEVC CEO. “Encompass Media brings the expertise necessary to present this unique and truly green marketing opportunity to companies wanting to do something good for the environment and community while generating awareness for its brand.”

SEVC’s 14 passenger solar-electric shuttle goes up to 60 miles on a single charge using its innovative solar panel system that provides constant supplemental charging throughout the day. The vehicle plugs in to a standard 110 volt outlet and can be fully charged overnight.

“This program is one of the most unique and beneficial marketing programs of which we have ever been a part,” said Adam Pierce, EMG President. “From a pure marketing standpoint, these locations are perfect for reaching moms and kids. At the same time, a company can feel good that its message is being delivered in a responsible way that is helping the planet.”

SEVC is planning to expand the program to municipalities, universities, medical centers and sports and entertainment facilities. This past summer, Sennheiser Audio sponsored a Solar Electric People Mover for band members at Milwaukee’s Summerfest and the vehicle was also used at the Rocky Mountain Music Festival for eco-friendly concert transportation.
