Catherine Olen, owner of Hollywood Grave hunter productions, has opened up her heart and her wallet to give back to the community in a truly unique way.
Ms. Olen has created the first ever Cemetery Kitten pin up calendar. In creating the website http://www.CemeteryKitten.com and putting together the calendar the company is giving aspiring young women the opportunity to become models at no expense. The company provided everything for the girls from costuming, hair dressers, professional makeup artists and one of the most well known and experienced photographers in Orange County, Dan Eitreim, to take the pictures in a professional setting.
"We decided this would be a great way for these aspiring models to get pictures and real professional work experience into their portfolio without having to spend thousands of dollars of their own money.", Ms. Olen said regarding what motivated the project. “The ladies were all wonderful and beautiful. We all had so much fun during the photo shoot we can’t wait to do next year’s calendar.”
Ms. Olen is one of the foremost experts on Hollywood history and the final resting places of the stars. She has two books being published next year. The first is due out in April and is a compendium of how and where all your favorite stars passed to the hereafter. The second is a personal look inside what takes place after we pass on and is based on Ms. Olen’s years spent working in mortuaries in Southern California. It is affectionately titled “The Upside of Undertaking” and is due out in September 2010.
