AMP Productions has been announced as a finalist in CableU's Non-Fiction Emerging Producer contest with their entry Lone Star Opera, a reality show exploring the life behind the Fort Worth Opera's annual festival.

AMP Productions is a finalist in CableU’s Non-Fiction Emerging Producer Contest. As a competitor in the event, AMP Productions will pitch their unscripted TV show concept as one of three finalists at the 2010 National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

AMP Productions will pitch Lone Star Opera, a reality show exploring the behind-the-scenes-world of the Fort Worth Opera’s annual festival event. The unscripted series chronicles the lives of artists, patrons and craftsmen fighting the clock to stage three operas in five weeks, with careers, reputations and relationships at stake every step of the way.

The final pitch will take place Monday, January 25, 2010 at 12 PM during the session titled Opportunity Knocks: Answer with the Perfect Pitch.
