As one of the leading providers of Microsoft certifications and computer training in the United States and Canada, CED Solutions has made a commitment to provide training and support to those in need. CED Solutions has teamed up with Georgia State University to provide Microsoft training, computer training and charitable donations through the University’s Project Healthy Grandparents.

Project Healthy Grandparents is a program designed to provide social and health services, support groups, legal assistance and access to community resources to grandparents who are raising grandchildren in parent-absent homes. This groundbreaking program, started in 1996, and has made a difference in the lives of more than 685 families and 1,545 grandchildren throughout the state of Georgia.

The University works with dozens of organizations to provide assistance and services, free of charge, to program participants. In addition to providing services each organization selects a participating family to adopt for the holiday season. Companies throughout the State of Georgia are encouraged to join this very worthwhile program by contacting the office of Susan J. Kelley, PhD, Director of Project Healthy Grandparents, and Dean, College of Health and Human Sciences at (404) 413-1125.

CED Solutions is proud to be participating in the program again this year. CED will be providing Microsoft training to those program participants that are interested in improving their computer skills in the coming months.

“Having a fundamental understanding of Microsoft Systems is extremely important to developing basic computer skills,” said Rich Rodgers, CEO of CED Solutions. “Many of these grandparents will need these skills to help their grandchildren in school and to prepare for higher education. We are very excited to provide this valuable training.”

In addition the CED Solutions staff came together to adopt a family from Project Healthy Grandparents, providing gifts that will be delivered in time for the holiday. Everyone at CED Solutions is proud to be working with Georgia State University and is very excited to have the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills with the participants of Project Healthy Grandparents.
