Several James Scott Farrin employees donated their time setting up the decorations and the silent auction prior to the event.

Duke Children’s Hospital holds a special place in the heart of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. At six-weeks, Grace Sanchez was diagnosed with a heart defect that required open heart surgery. Both of Grace’s parents work at James Scott Farrin. The successful surgery was performed at Duke Children’s Hospital which treats more than 200 children with heart defects annually. James Scott Farrin’s support is one small way the firm can give back to this important part of the community.

The Teddy Bear Ball is one of the largest charity black-tie galas in the Triangle. It takes place yearly on the first Saturday in December. In addition to a wine tasting, a seated dinner and awards ceremony, the event includes both a silent and live auction, as well as dancing to a live orchestra. The 20th annual Teddy Bear Ball was held Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Durham Marriott Convention Center.
