Authenware is proud to walk alongside Televisa as they take an active step towards adapting security tactics that accommodate the 21st century business model.
Miami, FL (PRWEB) December 22, 2009
AuthenWare™, a leader in keystroke dynamics, today announced a landmark agreement with Mexico's Televisa (NYSE: TV), providing the media conglomerate with second-factor authentication for corporate and consumer data. Rolling out the initial integration phase in the first quarter of 2010, AuthenWare™ will be utilized to secure internal data exchanges.
"Security, if stagnant, dissolves," said Tom Helou, president of AuthenWare. "Last decade's methodology of data protection became irrelevant when Internet utilization swelled to 1.5 billion users in 2009. Alongside the grossly increased digital population, the world's business culture became rooted in wireless networks and broadband, thereby creating a society where transactions rarely occur in the concrete. AuthenWare is proud to walk alongside Televisa as they take an active step towards adapting security tactics that accommodate the 21st century business model."
Under the agreement, Televisa - the largest media company in the Spanish-speaking world - will implement AuthenWare as a second-factor authentication system to secure sensitive customer, project and asset data. The initial contract will cover just over 300 users with hopes to expand the program tenfold in the next 12 to 18 months.
"The very definition of security requires the avoidance of system failure," said Juan Bosco Aurioles, business manager at AxxiS Consulting, who worked as liaison between AuthenWare and Televisa during the agreement process. "The end user can be easily identified as any security infrastructure's point of weakness. As an AuthenWare reseller partner, we are proud to work on behalf of a company that is addressing the root of the cybersecurity epidemic - the user."
Headquartered in Miami, AuthenWare is a leading innovator of keystroke biometrics software. Its identity authentication product recognizes valid users by calculating the unique rhythm and beat with which the typist keys in data (i.e. their username and password) on their computer keyboard. AuthenWare evaluates this information along with behavioral and environmental characteristics to keep hackers out and let authorized personnel in. The company provides its security product and services to customers spanning international borders and business sectors, across a wide variety of industries such as financial services, government, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, and retail.
