Vision Airlines has officially added their Boeing 737-800, a long-range, 168 passenger aircraft to its Part 121 Air Carrier certificate. The Boeing 737-800 is the flagship of Vision’s 737 fleet of aircraft. The addition of the 737-800 brings the number of 737’s operated by Vision Airlines to five: one 737-300, three 737-400’s and the 737-800.Vision’s existing fleet of aircraft is comprised of Boeing 767s, Boeing 737s, Dornier 328s and Dornier 228s.

In addition to adding the 737-800 to its certificate, Vision Airlines announced that they would begin scheduled passenger service between Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL and Gulfport and scheduled charter service between Atlanta, GA and Gulfport commencing on January 8, 2010. Initially, the service will be 3 days per week and Vision hopes to expand to daily non-stop service between these city pairs as rapidly as possible.
