The Argos LEGO shop has given us a fantastic platform to reach more potential customers. We felt it would enhance the customer offer to have all of our LEGO inspired products in a one stop shop customer experience. The ten fold increase in traffic we have already experienced this month shows customers like this approach when searching for products with high brand equity.

Argos, the UK's number one toy retailer, has recorded over 500,000 Argos.co.uk LEGO searches, with visits to their LEGO shop providing the platform for this increase since the beginning of December.
The figure released today only includes visits up to and including last Saturday, 19 December. The retailer anticipates a rapid increase in traffic this week as customers search online for stock of LEGO toys, which Argos have confirmed are currently available in stores during this Christmas week.
With consumer demand for traditional childrens toys continuing to drive purchasing decisions, the retailer has warned that what limited stock remains will not be available for much longer. Argos has advised customers to use the online Check & Reserve service on Argos.co.uk as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Sarah Hobson, Argos Boys Toys and Entertainment Buyer comments: "As the UK's number one toy retailer, LEGO has proven to be a strong product for us all year round. In the current climate customers want toys with longevity from good brands they can trust. LEGO certainly fits this profile.
"The Argos Check & Reserve channel is a real-time stock availability service which offers our customers the opportunity to check if their local Argos stores have available stock and collect it at their convenience with a 48 hour period. Since it launched in 2000 this has proved to be the most efficient way for our customers to ensure product availability during the busy Christmas period all the way up to Christmas Eve."
Argos launched their popular 'in-house' LEGO shop in July this year, receiving 50,000 visits in the first week. Customer convenience was the driving force behind the decision to pull together all LEGO products into a single location, which includes board games and LEGO video games.
Sarah adds: "The Argos LEGO shop has given us a fantastic platform to reach more potential customers. We felt it would enhance the customer offer to have all of our LEGO inspired products in a one stop shop customer experience. The ten fold increase in traffic we have already experienced this month shows customers like this approach when searching for products with high brand equity."
Argos continues to look at ways to enrich the customer shopping experience through convenient shopping channels and engaging online content. Argos.co.uk has a variety of other established 'shops' such as Reebok, Silentnight, Sealy, In My Pocket, V-tech and Leapfrog.
Argos has expanded its range of LEGO products in recent years, which now includes nine exclusive LEGO products. Argos has today announced that it will be launching new Lego ranges on Boxing Day. This includes Lego Toy Story and Lego Atlantis products. These will available online and in browsers in-store from this Saturday.
