Niman Ranch (http://www.nimanranch.com), the largest network of U.S. family farmers and ranchers raising livestock traditionally, humanely and sustainably, has retained Chef Andrew Hunter. Niman Ranch’s new executive chef was formally with Wolfgang Puck Worldwide.

Chef Andrew comes to Niman Ranch with more than 20 years of culinary experience. He began his training at the Culinary Institute of America and has worked in various segments of the industry including fine and casual dining, and research and development.

Most recently, Andrew was Vice President of Culinary Development for Wolfgang Puck Worldwide. He was responsible for translating Wolfgang’s signature fine dining vision into profitable fast casual menu concepts. His vision was realized in 90+ Express and Bistro restaurants throughout the United States, Canada and Japan. Andrew helped implement a first-of-its-kind humane farm animal treatment program created in partnership with the Humane Society of the United States. Andrew is currently president of Culinary Craft, a company specializing in culinary development services for chefs, restaurateurs and retailers.

When Niman Ranch approached Chef Andrew with the opportunity to become their in house executive chef, Andrew agreed stating, “It’s an honor to work with Niman Ranch, a company that believes in the family farm and that brings premium beef, pork, lamb and chicken to market with such integrity and transparency.”

Jeff Swain, CEO of Niman Ranch said, “We believe that by adding a culinary expert like Chef Andrew to the Niman Ranch team to work alongside our Director of New Products and Food Safety, Kelli Wilson, we will create a dynamic pair that will ultimately bring innovative new products to market.”

“This partnership allows Niman Ranch to continue to develop high quality all-natural meat products for retail and foodservice applications. We’ll work with our closest partners to further establish Niman Ranch’s reputation within the market. That is -- a humanely and sustainably raised ‘center of the plate’ option for the everyday consumer,” said Jeff Tripician, CMO/EVP of Niman Ranch.

Niman Ranch is a network of more than 600 sustainable U.S. family farmers and ranchers who raise livestock traditionally, humanely and sustainably to deliver the finest tasting meats in the world. Niman Ranch’s independent family farmers practice the highest standards of animal husbandry and environmental stewardship.
