Water Touted as Alternative Fuel Source

Is Gasoline King? by William F. Rosskob is a manuscript about solar energy and characteristics of gasoline and organic chemical energy and water in an inorganic chemical energy. With gasoline as the standard can water replace it as an alternate form of solar energy fuel? It is known that when gasoline burns it releases energy and hydrocarbons resulting in air pollution. The comparison calculates how hydrogen in the compound water (H20) as an alternate form of energy when burned releases energy and no pollutants to the atmosphere and it does not take millions of years to produce. Storage, cost and chemical characteristics are discussed. You make the conclusion.
