Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 26, 2009
The Team Trakr Foundation will be profiled on CNN’s Giving in Focus special airing on December 26, 2009 at 3:00 pm ET.
Launched to continue the extraordinary legacy of the 911 hero dog, Trakr, the Team Trakr Foundation is an international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing and advancing the availability of elite, self-contained K9 search and rescue teams in the United States and around the world, in essence K9 teams without borders.
The Foundation will support, train and deploy Team Trakr on any emergency situation or disaster where people are lost or trapped. As winner of “The World’s Most Cloneworthy Dog” contest, Trakr was cloned not one, but five times. These five puppies have been charged with carrying on Trakr’s search and rescue legacy.
James Symington, Trakr’s former partner and founder of the Team Trakr Foundation, will help lead the team through an intense search and rescue training program and deploy with the team on life-saving missions.
“The Foundation is not about holding onto the past,” said Symington. “It’s about continuing the incredible journey of one extraordinary dog. I owe Trakr that.”
