Finding Myself thorugh Emotional Pain, a new book by Dayton resident Carmen Edwards Jackson, has been released by Dorrance Publishing.

A troubled young woman turns to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain in her life and spirals downward into criminal activity and prostitution. This book is the tale of her rise to health and stability through the 12-step program and her strengthening personal relationship with God.

As she learns to accept and deal with her own emotional and spiritual pain, she renews her relationships with her family and grows into a fulfilled human being.

Carmen Edwards Jackson is a native of Dayton, Ohio, and continues to make Dayton her home today. She is married, has three children, and works as a cosmetologist. She enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She is especially proud of her work with women in need. She is a board member of the Midwest Woman to Woman Seminar and is a longtime member and treasurer of the Sunday Morning Delphos Group.
