Bend, Oregon Finally, off-road touring motorcyclists have a way to carry all their essential gear for multi-day trips without sacrificing the performance of their dirt bikes. After more than a decade of development and testing, the Giant Loop Saddlebag throws down a real solution to awkward loads, broken racks and sub-frames and gear that simply isn't up to the demands of long-distance off-road riding.
"Expand your horizons by fitting your late- model European or Japanese dirtbike with a Giant Loop Saddlebag," writes Cycle World magazine in the "New Ideas" column of the February 2009 issue.
"Take the insult out of 'you've got saddlebags,' and carry your stuff easier, too, over the rear of the seat!" writes Dirt Rider Magazine in is February 2009 issue. The Giant Loop Saddlebag was also a featured Product of the Week on Dirt Rider's website.
"You'll never have to worry about your gear getting in the way of exploring some wild country," writes Eastern Dirt Magazine in its February/March 2009 issue.
"Two Thumps up for the Giant Loop Saddlebag," writes ThumperTalk.com in its December 2008 rider review after riding extensively in Baja California.
Some of the Giant Loop Saddlebag advantages include: A biomorphic design combining tail bag and saddlebags into one component that becomes an integrated part of the dirt bike. No sub-frame modifications, mounts, braces or racks required Better position for rider. Better weight distribution for gear. Safer than hard-shell touring boxes. Bombproof reliability with no racks or mounts to snap off and break. Rides great empty, partially filled and stuffed full. And it simply looks cooler, with cleaner lines that mimic the dirt bike's own design.
Since introducing the Giant Loop Saddlebag on the web in September 2008, customers on five continents have purchased the Giant Loop Saddlebag for dualsport, dirt bike touring in countries such as the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Australia, New Zealand and Tanzania.
The Giant Loop Saddlebag fits virtually all late-model Japanese and European dirt bikes (KTM, Husqvarna, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, etc.). Designed and sewn in the U.S.A., the motorcycle soft luggage provides a volume of 30 liters. Dimensions are approximately 60" long (outside diameter) X 10" wide X 8" tall.
The dirt bike saddlebag's body is constructed of super-tough 1050 Nylon Ballistic Cordura™ (developed to stop bullets) with polyurethane coating for water resistance. The motorcycle saddlebag's base layer consists of high-density foam, 1050 Ballistic Cordura and NoSlip with 1/4" Stimston™ black finished, brass grommets and dges finished with polypropylene webbing. The saddlebag is sewn with military-grade thread, and #10 YKK zippers are used on each side. To stabilize loads and secure gear, the dualsport saddlebag features compression straps of 1-in. Nylike™ webbing with steel/aluminum cam buckles, as well as two daisy chains.
Each Giant Loop Saddlebag includes a heavy-gauge polished stainless steel heat shield, detailed installation instructions and all hardware for easy installation. No specialized tools are needed to mount the Giant Loop Saddlebag on a dirt bike (requires drilling holes in rear fender and both side panels).
