This year's user conference provided immense value and will help me get more from our talent management investments
(PRWEB) September 21, 2009
Halogen Software's fourth annual user conference, held last week, was a brilliant success with customers from around the globe attending sessions covering talent management strategy and delivering practical information on extending the value of their Halogen solutions. Also during this year's conference, three customers were recognized with Halogen's Bright Light Award for their unique achievements. Halogen customers EMQ FamiliesFirst, Pengrowth and the Regional Municipality of York each received awards at the conference reception.
The Bright Light Awards are given in three areas: culture, implementation and measurable savings. EMQ FamilesFirst received this year's award for Brilliant Corporate Culture for its success in using its performance management tools to help bring unity and goal alignment when merging two organizations. Pengrowth was recipient of the Dazzling Implementation Award in recognition of the organization's rapid Halogen deployment, which included training 20 locations in less than three weeks and a 100 percent completion rate in less than three months of full roll out. The Regional Municipality of York saved 25 percent on IT costs and an estimated $35,000 each review cycle with Halogen in place, and was recognized with the Bright Bottom Line award.
The Fourth Annual Halogen User Conference, held in Ottawa, included keynotes with employee engagement expert Richard Hadden, and popular HR blogger, Kris Dunn. Numerous customers presented alongside Halogen staff on all aspects of talent management.
"This year's user conference provided immense value and will help me get more from our talent management investments," said David Hofstetter, Manager, Learning and Development, New England Organ Bank. "The keynotes, the educational sessions and one on one time with Halogen experts provided me with a real professional development opportunity and best practices that I'll be able to use right away. I'm looking forward to next year's conference already."
During the course of the conference, Halogen also engaged attendees in the company's corporate social responsibility initiatives. Customers created artwork in exchange for donations to bring renewable light sources to child-led families in Rwanda through Global Giving. During conference breaks, attendees took the opportunity to paint small canvases, which will be displayed in Halogen's headquarters, and for each canvas painted, Halogen donated funds to this worthy cause.
