2009 U.S. Senior Open Daily Tickets Now On Sale

Daily tickets for the 30th U.S. Senior Open Championship, to be held July 27 - August 2, 2009, at Crooked Stick Golf Club, go on sale today.

Carmel, IN (Vocus/PRWEB ) May 22, 2009 -- Daily tickets for the 30th U.S. Senior Open Championship, to be held July 27 - August 2, 2009, at Crooked Stick Golf Club, go on sale today.

News ImageA limited number of daily tickets are available for both championship and practice rounds. Championship Round tickets (Thursday - Sunday) are available for $40 per day. Practice Round tickets (Monday - Wednesday) are available for $15 per day. Daily tickets provide access to the championship grounds and include complimentary parking and shuttle transportation to the main admission gate.

"Advance ticket sales have been outstanding, and spectator attendance is expected to exceed 140,000 people throughout the week," said Tom Buck, Championship General Co-Chairman. "With the addition of daily tickets, we now offer both the best value to our customers and the most options."

Additional ticket options, which have been available since May 5, 2008, include the Championship Weekly ticket and the upgraded Pete Dye Club Weekly ticket. The Championship Weekly ticket provides access to the championship grounds and includes seven (7) individual tickets, one for each day of the championship (Monday - Sunday). A commemorative championship program is also provided free of charge. The Championship Weekly ticket is priced at $100.

The upgraded Pete Dye Club Weekly ticket provides access to the championship grounds as well as an on-course, climate-controlled hospitality pavilion located on the 17th fairway with up-scale food and beverage for purchase. The Pete Dye Club ticket includes seven (7) individual tickets, one for each day of the championship (Monday - Sunday). A commemorative championship program is also provided free of charge. The Pete Dye Club ticket is priced at $200.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.2009ussenioropen.com, at Indiana Kroger stores or by calling 877-281-OPEN. Throughout championship week, kids 17 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Gates will open daily at 7:00 a.m. and will close following the conclusion of play (around 7:00 p.m.). Daily capacity on the golf course is limited to 30,000 individuals to enable all spectators the opportunity to experience the championship up close.

About the U.S. Senior Open: The 30th U.S. Senior Open to be held July 27 - Aug 2, 2009, will bring a field of 156 of the world's best professional and amateur Senior (over the age of 50) golfers to Crooked Stick Golf Club. Featured players expected to compete include Greg Norman, Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Fuzzy Zoeller, Tom Lehman, Bernhard Langer, Fred Funk and Mark O'Meara. The U.S. Senior Open will be the sixth USGA championship staged at Crooked Stick; past championships include the 2007 U.S. Women's Amateur, 1993 U.S. Women's Open, 1989 Mid-Amateur, 1983 Senior Amateur and 1982 Junior Amateur.
