NAPW's Los Angeles Has Another Successful Meeting
National Association of Professional Women has several chapters throughout the United States, including Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Chapter has another successful meeting.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 15, 2009 -- The NAPW-L.A. Chapter held its third monthly breakfast meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at A Cow Jumped Over the Moon on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
Having emerged from the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), Cheryl Anker, owner and founder of Off 'N Running Tours, decided to start a local chapter drawing from the more than 150 NAPW members in the Los Angeles area.
"We look forward to growing the chapter and becoming a positive, supportive, educational vehicle for women to expand their skills & mind set. As a group, we hope to identify an important cause or issue that we can then support and affect in a positive way," said Cheryl Anker, NAPW-L.A. Chapter president. "I am very proud of the following Mission Statement that was developed and finalized by our core group of members at the October meeting -
The NAPW- L.A. Chapter seeks to enhance, develop and strengthen professional women by providing them a forum for integration of thoughts, experiences and new ideas. With the intellectual capital, contacts and resources we have within our group, we will mentor each other, celebrate successes, and aid other women in pursuit of their dreams and goals.
The NAPW-L.A. Chapter holds a breakfast meeting on the second Wednesday of each month, 7:30-9:00am, at A Cow Jumped Over the Moon, 421 North Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The cost is $20 per person and includes fresh cut fruit, muffins, Danish, a selection of fruit juices, and coffee/tea. You get the added bonus of brainstorming and socializing with a diverse and interesting group of working, professional women. They look forward to more of the NAPW Los Angeles area members attending.
