Soles4Souls® has partnered with KidBean.com, and other organizations, to provide the people of Haiti with emergency aid, including food, bottled water, medical supplies, tents, and baby products. "Since this devastating earthquake, the Haitian people have been living in turmoil," said KidBean.com founder and owner Melissa Zenz. "After viewing some of the photographs taken shortly after the earthquake, all I could think about was the Haitian children living in that chaos. In an environment covered with broken glass, raw sewage and other debris, something as simple as pair of children's shoes can significantly improve health and safety conditions."

From its founding in 2001, KidBean.com has been committed to supporting charities that provide disaster relief as well as non-profits that promote a more sustainable and compassionate world.

Soles4Souls has partnered with other relief organizations to transport and distribute the aid. Thirty containers of supplies, including footwear, clothing, food, water, and medical supplies have already been sent to Haiti.

“As we struggle to comprehend the magnitude of this disaster, we cannot forget how important basic necessities – such as shoes – will be in the ongoing rescue and rebuilding efforts,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls. “We deeply appreciate the support of KidBean.com in helping us provide shoes and other essential items to survivors and volunteers as they work in horrific conditions.”

"I initially contacted our local Red Cross chapter but they were unable to accept our donation because their own offices in Haiti had been destroyed and they had no means to receive goods," said Ms. Zenz. "I was thrilled to find Soles4Souls® and am deeply grateful to them for pioneering this effort to bring shoes and other basic necessities to the victims in Haiti."
