This is one of the simplest forms of word-of-mouth advertising for online sellers.

Nexternal Solutions, a leader in ecommerce shopping cart software, is excited to announce the release of a new feature which provides a powerful integration with two major social networking sites; Facebook and Twitter. This new update gives online merchants the ability to allow their customers to post recent purchases on Facebook and Twitter during the checkout process.

The functionality is simple. Once a customer has purchased a product from the merchant’s online store they will have the option on the order confirmation screen and from their order confirmation email to share that purchase both on Facebook and Twitter. If they decide to share what they just bought with their friends & family, the notification or post will instantly appear on the buyer’s profile with a direct link back to the merchant’s online store. It is clear and simple process for the customer should they choose to share their purchase, and they are always able to edit the message that is posted. In the case of a Facebook post, the merchant’s company logo or image of their choice will also be included on the customer’s profile.
