Miami Beach, FL (Vocus) January 4, 2010
Thanks to the collective pro-bono work of Margarita Blanco from ArquitectonicaGEO (http://www.arquitectonicageo.com), who created the landscape design upon which the preliminary plans are based, and Les Beilinson from BeilinsonGomez P.A. (http://www.beilinsonarchitectspa.com), who is creating the preliminary plans, ADMSP will submit its preliminary plans to the Miami Beach City Manager, Jorge M. Gonzalez for review and approval, on January 15, 2010.
Jorge M. Gonzalez was appointed City Manager of the City of Miami Beach by the Mayor and Commission on August 21, 2000, becoming the 19th City Manager of the City since it was incorporated in 1915.
"From the beginning of the ADMSP project, Jorge Gonzalez has been supportive of ADMSP by providing excellent leadership and superior guidance as to the procedures to follow with the City of Miami Beach government, in order to swiftly obtain the necessary approvals for ADMSP to fulfill its mission, states Marlene Saile, Esq., President and CEO of ADMSP.

About ADMSP:
Mission:
The harmonious interaction of people and art!
ADMSP is devoted to developing a public recreational sculpture park with community programming at Altos del Mar Park located in Miami Beach, Florida, that will become a cultural, entertainment, tourism and travel destination in South Florida that will advance economic growth in the community, in order to serve the residents who live in that community and the public at large.
We will do this by: (i) utilizing subtle interventions and ecologically harmonious materials, trees and plants thereby conserving the land; (ii) providing exhibitions of sculptures from established artists from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries; (iii) providing community programming to include art and exercise classes, park tours, entertainment, and private events, for free 365 days per year.

Design:
ADMSP will create a unique park that conserves the land while using it as a park with sculptures.
The design takes into account that Miami Beach is a barrier island formed by an accumulation of sediment on limestone shoals; that the property is ocean front property within the urban framework of the North Beach community; all of which inform the aesthetics and layout of the space: a "Landscaped Gallery Space" consisting of: Tree allées, dunes, a maritime planting palette, and butterflies. ArquitectonicaGEO’s design concept is an abstract interpretation of forms found in south Florida limestone geology, parkland and urban life!
