Samhain Publishing, Ltd., an independent publishing house offering an extensive line of romance books in both digital and trade paper, has named Christina “Tina” Trevaskis as the newly created position Director of Marketing and Sales starting January 4, 2010. In this position, Trevaskis will report directly to Samhain Publishing founder Christina M. Brashear.

“Tina’s experience in selling and marketing books and authors as well as her contacts within the publishing industry is exactly what an independent publisher needs in order to grow the company. Her vivacious personality and love of books make her the perfect fit for this new position,” states Brashear.

Trevaskis comes to Samhain from serving as Business Manager for Sherrilyn Kenyon, where she assisted in creating marking plans, organized conventions and events, and worked with media.

Prior to working with Ms. Kenyon, Trevaskis served as Category Marketing Specialist for BGI, Borders Group Inc. She began her career with BGI as a bookseller with Waldenbooks, and was promoted to Assistant Manager and then moved to Office Supervisor at Borders before being promoted to Category Marketing Specialist.

Trevaskis has presented workshops on bookselling at Romantic Times Conventions and RWA National Conference, as well as spoken and worked with local RWA chapters.

Trevaskis holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in English with a minor in Expository Writing from University of Wisconsin.
