Alan Test, owner of Archadeck of Coastal Carolina, becomes a member of the North Carolina Leadership Council

Archadeck is happy to announce that its Coastal Carolina franchise owner, Alan Test, is now serving as a member of the National Federation of Independent Business’ (NFIB) North Carolina Leadership Council.

Active in all 50 states, the NFIB is a small business advocacy organization.

“I’ve been involved with the NFIB for several years now, first in California and now in North Carolina,” says Test. “It allows small businesses owners to have a voice and input in some of the laws and regulations that affect us. I’m very happy to continue my work with such a great organization.”

Before moving to North Carolina, Test was on the Leadership Council of California’s NFIB chapter and in 2004 was awarded the California NFIB Business Champion Award, which is given out annually in recognition of Outstanding Member Involvement.

Test opened his franchise location in October of 2009. He works with his clients to design a variety of custom outdoor living spaces such as decks, pergolas, sunrooms, screened porches, gazebos, outdoor kitchens and more.

Archadeck, established in 1980, has built more than 75,000 projects across the country and is recognized as the largest deck and porch builder in North America. A part of Outdoor Living Brands, the Archadeck mission is "to enhance the lives of our customers by creating unique and innovative outdoor living environments."

Qualified Remodeler magazine ranks Archadeck ninth on the 2008 National Remodeling Firms List. Archadeck projects have graced the covers of Gardens, Decks and Patios and Decks & Backyard Projects. The company has been featured in articles in This Old House, Smart Money and Gardening & Deck Design, as well as on Home & Garden TV (HGTV). Additional information can be viewed at
