Shareholders of privately held Nomad Innovations, LLC, have named an expanded Board of Directors to guide the domestic and international roll-out of its LiveEdge solution (http://www.LiveEdge.tv) , a wireless newsgathering technology that transmits live coverage via 4G/3G networks. Members bring experience in business and finance especially involving early growth companies, wireless technology, and broadcasting.
Members include:
Greg Chapman, Nomad Innovations Board Chairman, chairman, founder and manager of The Anchorage Angels, which is invested in 30 companies in various stages of development. Chapman was Director, New Initiatives and Product Development at AEGON Institutional Markets in Louisville, KY where he initiated and developed an offshore funding program that grew to over $15 billion in assets under management that produced over $50 million annually in spread income.
Bob Klingle, CEO, the current CEO of Nomad Innovations spent 15 years in television production, sales, and sales management and 10 years in television station management. His experience includes work at CNN and 15 years with CBS where he served as Director of NY National Spot Sales and Director of Sales of WCBS-TV in New York and with Belo as President & General Manager of WHAS-TV in Louisville, KY. Klingle has served on Nomad's Board and been CEO since June of 2008.
William Lomicka is chairman of Coulter Ridge Capital, a private investment firm he founded in 1999. He has been a Senior Vice-President of Finance of Humana, Inc., and Secretary of Economic Development of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He currently serves on the board of several private and public companies.
Sean O'Leary is a co-founder and CEO of Genscape, an energy trading technology firm with business in nine countries and offices in Louisville, KY., Amsterdam, Boston, New York, London, and Boulder, CO. Genscape develops products for electricity, natural gas, coal, emissions, and oil markets.
Kent Oyler is CEO of OPM Services, Inc., which provides financial services for early stage companies. Oyler has started 18 business ventures, including co-founding High Speed Access and Darwin Networks. He also founded and later sold OPM Flats, the nation's leading operator of heavy-duty rail cars and co-founded bCatalyst, a technology seed fund and business accelerator. Oyler served as chairman of Nomad's board from June of 2008 until December of 2009.
Scott Richardson is CEO of 4G Ventures, LLC, in Portland, Oregon and Strategic Advisor to Clearwire. Previously he was Chief Strategy Officer at Clearwire and Executive Vice President of Product Development where he led the commercial side of Clearwire's merger with Sprint 4G Assets and secured large investments from Comcast, Google, TWC, Intel and Brighthouse. He also served in numerous roles over 20 years at Intel including Vice President and General Manager of the Broadband Wireless Division where he led the team that created the WiMAX 4G technology and standard. Also at Intel, Richardson was General Manager for the Communications Group and General Manager for the Intel Enterprise Server Group where he led a team to invest in establishing the Linux Operating System as a standard for server operating systems.
Steve Sexton is President of the newly established Churchill Entertainment Group. He previously served as President of Churchill Downs and Executive Vice President of Racing Operations for Churchill Downs Incorporated. Sexton formerly presided over all of Churchill Downs Incorporated's pari-mutuel operations in Kentucky and the company's racing operations at Calder Race Course in Florida, Arlington Park in Chicago, and Fair Grounds in New Orleans. Sexton has served on Nomad's board since June of 2008.
