SOASTA, the leader in cloud testing, today announced that it has appointed Dan Bartow as Vice President, CloudTest Evangelist. Mr. Bartow is a thought leader in delivering high-performance websites by leveraging cloud computing in the testing process. He has also been credited for developing the industry’s first cloud testing methodology specifically designed for measuring website performance under both typical as well as extreme traffic conditions. In his new position Dan will continue to develop and deliver his cloud testing methodology to SOASTA customers around the globe.

Prior to joining SOASTA, Dan was Sr. Manager of Engineering at Intuit where he was responsible for supporting double-digit growth numbers for TurboTax Online, as well as leading their next generation development and testing strategies that leverage cloud computing. Over the past decade he has been focused on architecting and deploying high traffic, high visibility online applications. Prior to Intuit he was a Senior Engineer at ATG responsible for the online speed and scalability of websites for such well known brands as American Eagle Outfitters, AT&T, Best Buy, Finish Line, J.Crew, Neiman Marcus and Sony Online Entertainment, among others.
Dan is a frequent industry presenter and has spoken at leading testing and cloud computing conferences such as Software Test & Performance (STP) and SYS-CON’s Cloud Computing Expo.
