"I enjoy the entire process of making wine. In the early days we'd have huge wine making parties with our friends. At a certain point it became work for my friends and I knew it was time to move on. Surrounded by the vineyards and folks in the wine business in Napa and Sonoma no doubt helped draw me into the wine business. There's been quite a learning curve in many regards but it's hard to call work when I get to meet and talk with people about golf and wine."
Kris continues to make about 250 cases of the wines he calls their Limited Tier (Cabs and Merlot that retail at $25 plus), but most of the wines folks will find around the country is wines sourced from various places in California (California Tier) to keep the wines priced affordably in the $10-$13 range.
Kris Moe attended San Diego State University from 1979-1984 and was twice an All-American and won the California Amateur in 1983 before turning going pro on the Australian and Asian tours. He's played tournaments in over thirty countries including the U.S. and European PGA Tours and his most notable finish was a 25th in the 1985 British Open. His most recent victory was the Hawaii State Open in 2003.
