Sam Kim, M.D., Dermatologist, of Summit Medical Group

Sam Kim, MD, has recently joined Summit Medical Group’s Dermatology Department located in both Berkeley Heights and Short Hills.

Dr. Kim received his B.A. in political science, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Brown University, Providence, R.I. in 1994. He went on to earn his M.D. in 1998 from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa., where he was honored as a 21st Century Endowed Scholar. Dr. Kim completed his internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, Calif. He completed his residency training in dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia. There he served as chief resident in dermatology from 2001 to 2002. He has coauthored articles in Archives of Dermatology and Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as chapters in dermatology textbooks. Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Kim practiced dermatology in Manhattan and Pennsylvania. Dr. Kim has special interests in acne and skin cancer.

Dr. Kim joins his colleagues in dermatology, Naheed Abbasi, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.D.; Gabriel Gruber, M.D., and Monib Zirvi, MD, Ph.D. Dr. Abbasi is currently completing her fellowship in cosmetic and laser dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Gruber and Dr. Zirvi have both been recently named to New Jersey Monthly magazine’s “Top Doctors” list.
