Benvention Films, Inc is pleased to announce writer/director Benjamin Pollack’s multi-award winning comedy double feature, DARK ROOM THEATER, will be available to the public for digital download on Apple’s iTunes in mid to late March, 2010. This marks the first independent distribution deal for Benvention Films, Inc and paves the road for future feature film and television projects and distribution.

“I’m very excited about the iTunes distribution model and what it means for my company and the independent filmmaker in terms of a viable way to enter the foray of mainstream digital entertainment,” says writer/director, Benjamin Pollack. “Digital distribution is the future and the folks at Apple iTunes have their finger on the pulse with millions of users downloading films every day. With a Facebook, Google and YouTube marketing campaign we can compete for viewers with the larger Hollywood studios. We expect great things to come of it.”

Benjamin Pollack, who was recently featured on KNBC News with Cary Berglund, won “Best Director” for DARK ROOM THEATER at the Los Angeles Independent Television Festival (ITVFest) and “Best Comedy Feature” at FirstGlance Film Festival, Philadelphia. Dark Room Theater recently screened at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, NewFilmmakers in New York and Los Angeles, Asheville Film Festival, Shriekfest International Film Festival in Los Angeles, Comedy Central’s Stage at the Hudson, Shockerfest, where it was nominated for “Best Horror Feature,” and Rome International Film Festival in Rome, GA where it was nominated for “Best Narrative Feature.”
