Portland, OR (PRWEB) January 26, 2010
Portland, Oregon-based writer Nino Marchetti and his entrepreneurial partner Patricia Marchetti have launched EarthTechling.com, a green news technology website targeted to North American consumers. EarthTechling.com reports on green technology news, gadgets, and product reviews from around the globe.
It began as a wild idea. After spending many years in the dotcom world (including being one of the first 20 Yahoo employees), Nino Marchetti dove into the world of journalism in 2002. He worked in the trenches of the freelance world and eventually became a successful personal and consumer technology writer.
Nino's pieces appeared online and in print at CNET, Laptop, PC World, About.com, The Oregonian, EcoGeek, Digital Trends, Consumer Guide, and E-Gear. Nino also appeared on The Today Show, Portland’s AM Northwest, and several other regional television and radio programs to present technology gift guides and reviews. Nino’s passion for the environment, dotcom background, and freelance writing experience all led him to the idea and eventual launch of EarthTechling.com.
“We felt like there was a need for a new voice on green tech,” said Nino Marchetti, EarthTechling.com President and Editor in Chief. “Particularly with the investment by President Obama’s administration and Governor Kulongski’s initiatives in Oregon, consumers are interested in what’s happening on the ground in Oregon as well as in green technology around the world. Our team is ready and able to share what's happening in green tech with our global audience."
Making a splash with eco-conscious consumers. EarthTechling welcomes, appreciates, and attracts casual environmentalists– those who seek to use fewer natural resources without radically overhauling their current lifestyle – and hardcore enthusiasts alike.
EarthTechling’s unique perspective and news coverage are winning the website rave reviews from consumers and many repeat visitors.
Since launching in late August 2009, the website audience has grown rapidly – making EarthTechling.com a "must visit" destination for thousands of consumers looking for green technology gadgets, reviews, news, and gift ideas.
