The AFTV Virtual Movie Festival features independent films across multiple genres and will be available to anyone who visits the Virtual Movie Festival website.

AFTV will award one $2,000 “Grand Prize” and will also award independent films with “People’s Choice” and “Best of Genre” in key contest categories. Viewers can nominate their favorite film for the AFTV “People’s Choice” award by emailing VOTE@AmericaFree.TV and including the title of their favorite film in the email’s subject line*. Viewers can also vote for their favorite film by texting the title of the film to 703-623-3834**.

The grand prize-winning filmmaker will also be invited to New York City, where their film will be featured at a special in-person screening of the Best of the AFTV Virtual Movie Festival at the Lyons Wier Gallery on February 24 from 7:00 p..m - 9:00 p.m. (co-sponsored by Digital Media Wire). Chuck Porter, chairman and co-founder of the Crispin, Porter + Bogusky ad agency, will act as Master of Ceremonies at the screening, introduce the best films from the festival, including the winner of the People’s Choice Award, and join AFTV founder Marshall Eubanks in awarding the $2,000 grand prize. Tickets are $10 and can be reserved by registering at RSVP@americafree.tv (tickets will also be available at the door).
