SoftWallet® utilizes our hosted server along with a smart phone application, initially available for iPhones via the iTunes store, which enables users to automatically present specials and savings (coupons) available to them at a particular store in real time using their smart phone.
The service works by simply starting it on your smart phone. It will determine your location and give you a list of nearby participating retailers, coffee shops and restaurants for you to choose. No printing of coupons or worrying about expirations, it’s all done on the phone making the application green.
Participating businesses realize immediate cost savings as there are no printing or distribution channels to worry about, and their content is controlled by them and can be changed ad-hock and in real time via the service’s hosted server, so there is no hardware to install at their place of business.
Frequent purchase and frequent visit punch cards often become lost or forgotten. These are issues, especially for the participating retailer. SoftWallet® has resolved these issues by making these cards virtual so customers never have to worry about them again, and the retailers are assured of accurate counts for rewards.
“Participating in the initial trials we were delighted with the increase in traffic that SoftWallet® brought” says Saxby’s Coffee of Murphy owner Jessica Koss.
SoftWallet® has been well received by consumers. In addition to regular specials, there are SoftWallet® user specials just for them that can not be found in any newspaper or email. Consumers are becoming “app fatigued”. This service eliminates an app for each store with all of their differences by having one app for all stores thus enhancing the consumer experience.
“Retailers see its potential to entice customers and increase traffic. With the advances in technology and rapid consumer growth in smart phone adoption, this is a natural next step in consumer-based transactions. People may forget their coupons or frequent purchase cards, but they never forget their phone”, says Nick Calautti, President and founder of CELLC.
