"Through sharing and learning from our experiences, we grow stronger." Most of us have experienced a point in our lives or careers where we needed some advice or mentoring from those with whom we share common experiences, but did not know where or how to find or meet such people. Enter LifeRox, a free online social community connecting people across the globe with common interests and who also wish to share their personal stories of inspiration, motivation, and advice to others.

“LifeRox not only helps you network with other people sharing common interests globally, but it serves as a resource to find out where you can attend or join interest group meetings in your city or country."

Today marks the launch of a new social networking site, http://www.myliferox.com. More than just another site to capture random thought, LifeRox is born out of the real life experience of the founder, Kifle Bantayehu, when three years ago, both of his parents underwent four life saving operations between them in the span of just two years. As Kifle mentions, “It was difficult to not only cope with that, but also to find others who could share the experience he was going through; as well as others who had similar health issues who could help him get to the root of his parents ailments. A site like LifeRox would have been a great help.” The goal of LifeRox is to offer people from all over the world a free online platform to interact, mentor, ask for, and seek advice from each other on topics ranging from Adoption, Alzheimer’s, Cancer, Dating, Money Management, to Parenting, Youth Culture – and more.

LifeRox is a unique online community of people from across the world united by their common desire to:

  •     Post stories experienced by or viewed from a personal perspective
  •     Read these stories of overcoming hardship, motivation, personal experiences and be inspired by or learn from them
  •     Establish a community of friends with similar interests and experiences
  •     Learn how other people have coped with experiences or challenges similar to their own
  •     And, use their advice or methods to help themselves

"The core idea behind LifeRox," says Kifle, "is that, as an individual, your life 'rocks' and your experiences are valued by someone else, wherever in the world they may be. Through using the expansive reach and technology of the internet, one is enabled and empowered to share their own experiences and learn from the experiences of others."

To achieve this, the unique LifeRox Community page allows registered users to post and read stories that will serve to educate and inspire us; and who knows, perhaps make a new friend. Additionally, the LifeRox Events page provides an opportunity for registered users to create or search for an event within a specific country, state/province, or city across the globe in over 30 different event categories.

The idea behind this page is to provide a platform for bringing users with common experiences, or those with a desire to meet with like-minded individuals, together in their respective communities.

According to Kifle, "LifeRox not only helps you network with other people sharing common interests in your city, state, or country; but it will even give you the opportunity to find out where you can attend or join interest group meetings being held in your area on a specific topic important to you (i.e. parenting, health and illness recovery, job search, counseling, etc.)."

LifeRox is a registered trademarked business domiciled in the Commonwealth of Virginia. For further information or interviews please contact Kifle Bantayehu via email: kifle@myliferox.com , by telephone: 703-628-3229; or visit the website http://www.myliferox.com.
