New Clinical Staff and Practice Leadership to Keep Busy North Orange County Mental Health Practice Successful in 2010

Insight Psychotherapy Group (IPG) in Los Alamitos, California is looking toward 2010 as a year for continued growth in services, infrastructure and product lines. New additions to clinical staff and a new practice director ensure IPG will continue to offer new appointments to all clients within 1 - 2 weeks of calling and be able to offer services for Autism, Aspergers, neuropsychological evaluation and EAP/business consultation.

Insight Psychotherapy Group (IPG) http://www.insightgroup.org began in 2004 as a multi-disciplinary outpatient counseling clinic in Long Beach and Los Alamitos. Since then, IPG has grown from 8 clinicians to 18 and boasts a well-rounded and broad base of clinical services and specialty areas.

IPG is fortunate to announce the recent addition of 2 new clinical staff to our roster: Allison Landes-Stordahl, MFT and Dr. Charlotte Modahl. Allison has a Master's degree in marriage, family and child counseling from Chapman University. Her specialties include cognitive-behavioral techniques working with relationship issues, anxiety, depression and family issues including parenting and children. Allison has worked with children, adolescents and their families for over ten years and brings a great deal of experience and talent to IPG and to the populations we serve.

Dr. Charlotte Modahl, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist. She earned a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from Boston University Medical School. Her post-doctoral training in neuropsychology at Boston City Hospital included pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Afterward, she became an Assistant Professor for the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine. She was a member of the UCI Hospital Staff and the UCI Physicians Group at the UCI Medical Campus in Orange, CA. Dr. Modahl's practice focuses on neuropsychological evaluation for a variety of ailments. Her therapeutic techniques include educational and environmental planning, behavioral therapy, guided imagery and other techniques for change.

Additionally, IPG is excited to announce that Nicole Burik, MFT has accepted the position of Director, Clinical Operations for our clinic. Nicole has an M.A. degree in marital and family therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute. She previously worked as an elementary school counselor and at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center , Miracle Mile Community Practice, Journey Counseling Services and in private practice. Nicole is a certified PAIRS educator and a certified PREPARE/ENRICH counselor. In addition to her administrative and practice development duties, Nicole continues to work with couples, including pre-marital and pre-commitment counseling and skills-based training.
