She gives each saddle a professional photo shoot, then documents the saddle’s statistics and finds out what the saddle is worth. Consignment customers are thrilled with the service Fish has offered. Fish is not new to horse enthusiasts. She’s been one since she was nine years old, when she finally convinced her father to buy her a pony (complete with barn and fence). She currently has three horses and enjoys trail riding. Fish states that her favorite thing about working as a saddle expert: “I’m working in a barn and can look out and see a horse! This is right up my ally. It’s exciting to see all the different saddles come in, then selling them to the nicest people.”
In addition to four committed saddle experts, the Horse Saddle Shop has an extensive saddle help section, brimming with articles, diagrams, and downloadable tools that customers can use at home. Fish is currently working on expanding that help section with more tutorials on measuring, cleaning, and maintaining your saddle.
