Certified physician assistant Joanne Moff gives out a supportive hand to bariatric patients with her latest guidebook, I’m Hungry! Or Am I?, published through Xlibris.
Focused primarily on healthy eating, I’m Hungry! Or Am I? is divided into five chapters. The first two chapters focus on the when, how, and why of eating. In this section, Moff discusses appetite, hunger, and satiety in detail, going into the chemical aspect of the said topics. The next two chapters discuss eating in the post-surgery context, outlining the special dietary needs of the bariatric patient and providing specific guidelines.
I’m Hungry! Or Am I? also serves as a companion book to Moff’s earlier work, Okay…I’ve Gone Through Weight Loss Surgery, Now What Do I Do?!, aimed at educating bariatric patients and answering the most common questions and concerns on how to transition into life post-surgery. Specifically, the last chapter covers the latest updates on information included in Okay…I’ve Gone Through Weight Loss Surgery, Now What Do I Do?!
Teeming with valuable bariatric information, I’m Hungry! Or Am I? will effectively inform anyone considering weight loss surgery, both pre- and post-surgery patients, and other readers looking to learn more about eating and eating behaviors.
