Responding to a growing number of requests from orthopedic surgeons, OHK Medical Devices announced today that it will extend its program "HemaClear for Haiti", which provides HemaClear devices for medical teams and relief agencies working in Haiti.
"It is important that surgeons and medical teams working in the field have access to the best available technology and we believe it is our responsibility to contribute and assist with the healing efforts," said Oren Gavriely, CEO of OHK Medical Devices. "Orthopedic surgery will be required for the vast number of crush injuries sustained during the earthquake. HemaClear is the ideal device for this purpose."
OHK has already responded to requests from six medical teams that have been deployed to Haiti. Medical teams from leading hospitals in New York, Boston and Baltimore have requested HemaClear products suitable for both upper and lower limbs. As a result of the tremendous response from the field, OHK is reaching out to its entire user base in the US and Europe offering similar donations to support orthopedic missions in Haiti and elsewhere around the world.
