City Photos and Books, Inc. launched its new web site this week. According to Principal Photographer Rod Arroyo, "this site will showcase a wide variety of photographs and photo products. We also feature links to our Twitter and Facebook pages. These networking sites will enhance communications with our customers and enable us to offer photo tips to make everyone's portraits better."

Rod Arroyo began working as a photojournalist over 25 years ago, and he applies the excitement of capturing special moments as they happen to his portrait work. While there are always opportunities to pose and create more formal images, he prefers to capture the personality of his clients in a relaxed setting, where they are comfortable enough to reveal expressions that are true and unique. "When you spend time with an engaged couple or a high school senior in a nearby downtown or park that they know well, it is much more relaxing to them than a photo studio. The setting creates opportunities for great photographs in locations that have meaning to the client," says Photographer Rod Arroyo.

For couples looking for a wedding photographer, it is important to strike a balance between formal portraits and photojournalism-style images. Many couples and their relatives expect traditional photographs of the bride and groom and bridal party, and formal images are part of the service City Photos offers. In addition, the goal is also to capture impromptu moments and special looks when people think no one is watching. These images are usually the ones that provide the most meaningful memories of that special day or event.

In order to open a dialog, an email, phone call or brief meeting is suggested to start the communication process. "Even if you don't choose me as your photographer, I will respond to your emails and I am pleased to offer insight to great images through my Facebook and Twitter pages," says Arroyo. "Communication provides clients a chance to learn about my approach, and it will enable me to set the stage for creating images you will be proud of. "
