Cougars, defined as older women who frequently go to clubs to pick up or meet younger men, are gaining a lot of attention in popular culture recently. Although the women are generally thought to be at least 40 years old and exclusively pursue much younger men, many feel they can be as young as 35 years old.
Some believe that women around 35 wouldn’t be viewed as cougars unless the men they’re pursuing are no older than 25.
“The 10-year age difference seems to be an unspoken but accepted minimum between partners,” said Whitsell.
Interested men and cougar women can sign up at the cougar dating site today for free and create a profile indicating the type of relationship they’re looking for, whether it’s a one-night stand or marriage. Users can browse through various profiles and even look at a calendar of upcoming events.
