"We are extremely pleased with the level of interest and caliber of participants in the Second Annual Hatty Awards," said Denise Keller, Publisher of Hat Life. "It was particularly inspiring to be witness to the enthusiastic response this year from the media and prominent headwear industry leaders around the world."

According to Ms. Keller, the goal of presenting the Hatty Awards is to provide a platform to assist the further development of the headwear industry. She noted that headwear was emerging as a major design factor at the highest levels of haute couture, and that the Hatty Awards were providing considerable exposure and visibility to the best of the headwear industry's creative, designing, blogging, and retailing stars.

"The Hatty Awards have served to intensify the spotlight on the headwear industry in a manner that not only honors individual contributions, but draws international attention to the exciting developments occurring in this extremely dynamic fashion segment," she added. "The winners of the Second Annual Hatty Awards reflect the headwear industry's wide spectrum of diversity and creativity. We at Hat Life are proud to salute the people and organizations whose groundbreaking concepts are reshaping the worldwide headwear sector, and are thrilled to feature their profiles in the Annual Hat Life Book, our 380-page headwear volume featuring articles, resources, and photos from every aspect of the headwear industry."
