Travidia Launches Portal to Help Newspapers Recapture Grocery Business - Innovative Product Addresses Consumer and Local Media Needs

Travidia is expanding its Bamboo AdNetwork product-line with the introduction of a grocery-focused web portal. The portal will allow newspapers to recapture grocery revenue and more importantly, will address a current consumer need-find local grocer deals, recipes and editorial content.

“These days, everyone is looking to save time and money,” says James Green, Travidia’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Grocers are looking for ways to stay in the eyes of targeted consumers and drive store traffic. Newspapers are looking for additional revenue in a challenging print advertising market. We have come up with a portal to help everyone — publishers, grocers and shoppers. Shoppers can view weekly grocery inserts from multiple stores, compare prices among stores, make shopping lists and email desired advertised items to anyone. Shoppers can also print maps and directions to advertised grocers. Grocers will be given marketing intelligence reports based on specific user shopping habits, reach target audiences, extend viewing of the traditionally weekly ad while driving business to website. Newspapers can give increased value to their grocers who have a current advertising program and create a solution for those grocers not currently involved with their local newspaper.

Travidia is working effectively at connecting with the grocery industry as well as media partners and has recently become a member of the National Grocers Association (NGA). To create partnerships and gain knowledge in the grocery industry, Travidia will be attending the NGA’s Supermarket Synergy Showcase 2010 in Las Vegas this month.
