Leading provider of assortment management and allocation planning software moves to new office, hires new U.K. managing director, new North American vice president of professional services

Maple Lake Ltd. moved its corporate headquarters Feb. 2 to a prestigious new site in Markham, Ontario, Canada, as it continues double-digit growth and global hiring, including the recent hiring of Mark Stone as United Kingdom managing director, and Dhiraj Girdhar as vice president of professional services.

“The move to a new site in Markham gives us much-needed space for the 50-plus employees we now have,” said Stuart Aldridge, Maple Lake chief executive officer. “In the past year, we’ve added more customers, and grown revenue by 59 percent. This move more than doubles our square footage as we continue to grow.” The corporate move is “just across the street from its existing site,” said Aldridge, and will be located at 60 Columbia Way, Suite 502, Markham, Ontario L3R 0C9, effective Feb. 2.

Maple Lake also hired two key personnel. Mark Stone was hired as managing director of the company’s United Kingdom office, located in Leicester. Dhiraj Girdhar was hired as vice president of professional services, and is located in Markham.

Stone is focused on Maple Lake’s U.K and European presence, including managing customers and building sales, especially in Europe. Stone is experienced in retail and technology. He also managed numerous IT projects for Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser and Nike, among others. Girdhar is a senior information technology executive with more than 14 years of experience in information technology planning, business and IT process re-engineering, lifecycle information systems development, client program delivery and account management. At Maple Lake, his role will be to grow the broad range of professional services to provide customers with a single source for all resources and skills required for planning and allocation projects. His background includes IT and project management in retail, telecommunications, finance, utilities and government. Since 2004, he served as senior director of consulting services at ThoughtCorp.
