Full Slate Enables Online Appointment Scheduling for GoodTherapy.org

Now would-be clients can schedule their first appointment with a counselor or therapist on GoodTherapy.org using Full Slate’s online scheduling software.

When someone finds a therapist online, it makes sense to let them schedule an appointment online too.

Easy-to-use online scheduling software powered by Full Slate® now makes it possible for prospective clients to schedule appointments directly on GoodTherapy.org. The new link to “make appointment” lets users see when a therapist has openings and instantly book a convenient time.

Web-based scheduling offers a timesaving alternative to calling or emailing to arrange an appointment. Calls to make an appointment often go to voicemail when the therapist is in session or can’t answer the phone. Callbacks can lead to phone tag, which is both frustrating and time-consuming. Delayed response and back-and-forth create a disconnect that can be hard to overcome.

“If you don’t get an appointment scheduled on the first try, you could lose the opportunity to connect with a new client,” says Chris Korol, an online marketing consultant and co-founder of Full Slate. With online scheduling, you’re much more likely to convert views and clicks on your webpage into confirmed appointments.”

More and more people are using Internet search engines to find a therapist. “There were over seven million searches on GoodTherapy.org in the last six months,” according to Noah Rubinstein, executive director of GoodTherapy.org. “When someone finds a therapist online, it makes sense to let them schedule an appointment online too.”

The consumer demand for online scheduling is growing. Seventy-two percent of respondents in the Deloitte 2008 Survey of Health Care Consumers said they wanted to be able to schedule appointments online. That’s consistent with data reported by Full Slate. Ms. Korol said, “After a month or so, businesses using online scheduling often find more than two-thirds of appointments are booked by clients on the Web. That can really alleviate the administrative burden on a small business owner.”

Mr. Rubinstein added, “We think that online scheduling will make it easier for our members to manage and grow their practice. So instead of worrying about how to fill their appointment books, they can focus on providing good therapy to clients.”
