Archit8 Studio Introduces a New Walk Through Service to Provide an Unbiased Professional Assessment of a Property When Evaluating a Purchase

The Walk Through Service, conducted by a Licensed Architect, provides Buyers with some certainty that the purchase of a specific property will meet their potential need before they make an offer. When walking through a building with our clients, we provide verbal assessments of many elements, including but not limited to the following: 1) Evaluate the basic soundness of the structure and/or any potential defects 2) Provide information on zoning limitations that may apply, if it is a simple lot 3) Suggest locations for additions and how the rooms’ use may change 4) Estimate construction costs based on square footage and past experience 5) Provide a list of contractors we have worked with in the past who might be an appropriate fit 6) Explain the typical design process and how it might affect schedule 7) Describe the architects’ role and how it relates to the builder’s role 8) List the local building permit requirements and how they may affect improvements.

The service is available for both residential and commercial properties and is not to be confused with a home inspection service. While existing conditions may be noted during the walk through, the focus of our walk through service is to provide an assessment of what could be done in the future to the property based upon listening to the potential needs identified by the buyer.
