Government Executive Media Group today announced the promotion of Tim Hartman to General Manager, a role in which he will oversee all of the publisher’s editorial and commercial operations.
“Tim is a talented media executive whose rapid rise through the ranks of Atlantic Media Company (AMC) and Government Executive Media Group can be attributed to his entrepreneurial spirit, digital savvy and deep understanding of how media businesses run,” said Justin Smith, President, Atlantic Media Company.
Hartman joined Government Executive Media Group in 2007 to steward the successful launch of Nextgov.com, which has grown to be the largest federal IT web site in traffic(1). He also oversaw the re-launch of Government Executive Media Group’s independent research division – Government Business Council – which today counts among the organization’s fastest-growing business areas.
