The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s Hank Kline Facility opened the doors of the Alex Rodriguez Educational Center on Jan. 27. A special ribbon-cutting ceremony and private reception to celebrate the opening of new building was held. The event was attended by Miami’s own baseball star Alex Rodriguez, City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, City of Miami Commissioners Marc Sarnoff and Francis Suarez, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Alex Rodriguez-Roig, board members, executives of Ocean Bank, community leaders and the children of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade.
The Alex Rodriguez Educational Center, a $1.5 million project, is an 8,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that houses two technology labs, an area for internet use, classrooms and homework study areas and a large teen center, where kids can get together and enjoy games and equipment. Hundreds of children will use the two-story building every week.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade has been serving youth in our community since 1940.
