San Diego, Cali. (PRWEB) February 4, 2010
Mesa Rim climbing and Fitness Center, Inc., San Diego’s next generation climbing and fitness facility, announced today that they will open their doors to climbers, enthusiasts and industry insiders for two short hours to allow climbers to sneak a peek at the gym under construction and in progress.
For one day Mesa Rim is halting the continuously ongoing construction to give climbers a look at the reinvention of indoor climbing at one of the nation’s largest climbing centers. As opening day rapidly approaches Mesa Rim is inviting the climbing and fitness industry, the press and local climbing aficionados to sneak a peek while construction is shut down for the limited time span of only two hours, this Saturday February 6th from 10.30 am -12.30 pm. Attendees will be able to see the vision of a climbing gym built for and around the needs of climbers first hand as they are allowed to tour the facilities and meet with the founder and owners of Mesa Rim.
“It’s an extraordinary site; being able to walk in and see amazing changes every day. The completed bouldering walls look immense and are already drawing those who seem them to want to climb. It is just breath-taking seeing this vision come to life.” Bob Kain, President and CEO of Mesa Rim.
The development of Mesa Rim has helped the local job market; employing over 150 construction workers, builders and tradesmen to construct the climbing facilities. The gym’s current and future endeavors will also the local employment sector and economy. What some may view as a risk in this economy, the owners of Mesa Rim see as a positive opportunity to provide employment to the local community.
This rare opening will give the community a chance to see the progress of the build out, and be a part of the gym prior to the grand opening scheduled for later this spring. Mesa Rim will be host to 30,000 square feet of climbing wall, pinnacles as high as 52-feet, and will combine the exhilarating sport with comprehensive fitness facilities, and an incomparable yoga studio all designed to balance and round off Southern California’s newest climbing and training center.
