Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) February 4, 2010
TobinDudleyStarr announces that the firm’s name has changed to Tobin Starr + Partners and that Amy Johnson has been promoted to partner. Both changes became effective January 1, 2010.
Johnson’s market focus with Tobin Starr + Partners has been primarily commercial offices and medical upfits as well as restaurant and retail projects. In addition, she has extensive experience with institutional and civic projects.
“Since joining the firm, Amy has demonstrated tremendous leadership and a tireless, thorough work ethic that’s served our clients very well.” says Steve Starr, firm Partner. “She’s also worked to mentor junior associates in a way that’s helped them grow. In essence, she’s been working like a firm principal since her first day here; so the decision to officially make Amy a partner was very easy.”
Founding Partner David Tobin adds, “Amy’s success and promotion exemplifies the firm’s commitment to our growing Interior Design Practice.” Amy will continue to lead the firm’s Interior Design Practice and expand her role to include Corporate & Commercial Practice Leader.
Johnson is a graduate of Virginia Tech, with a degree in Interior Design. In addition, she holds the following certifications: National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) from the U.S. Green Building Council. Johnson led the design effort for North Carolina’s first LEED Platinum Corporate Interiors project, Optima Engineering’s 14,000-square-foot Charlotte headquarters. She is active in the community in a number of organizations and civic causes, including CREW-Charlotte, and she supports the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Classroom Central.
