"the aid efforts for tarps, tents, food and water from other companies have been strong
Palmdale, CA (PRWEB) February 5, 2010
Tarps Plus a global leader in tarps has donated thousands of tarps to help the earthquake victims of Haiti and now asks other companies to do the same. The U.S. tarp distributor has already delivered millions of poly tarps for emergency causes in 2010 and continues to work on the relief effort although some of the aid from other sources have waned in the past weeks. Many of the relief efforts have been pampered due to fears of theft and looters after an armed group of men attacked a food convoy on the way to a delivery. Many of the quake victims are still living outside in make shift tents of sheets and sticks, many forced to scramble for food and water. Twenty armed men tried to hijack a convoy of food for victims, but were driven off by police gunfire.
The CEO of Tarps plus Michael Stein says that "the aid efforts for tarps, tents, food and water from other companies have been strong but the numbers have started to decline and we want to encourage other companies to continue their effort.
Certain companies supplying aid were frustrated because planes and truck loads of supplies have been bottle necked in warehouses with long wait times to be handed out. Some celebrities efforts have not had any problems which speculates propaganda. Many suppliers want to know why their supply of tents, tarps, food and water sit in a warehouse while John Travolta flies in aid on a personal jet and receives assistant with distribution without delay.
