FORA.tv, the web's leading destination and distributor of smart video programs, has posted an exclusive interview with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak describing potentially dangerous problems with the Toyota Prius:
In the FORA.tv video program, Wozniak explains how the cruise control of his Prius malfunctions. "It has an accelerator that goes wild under certain conditions of cruise control," he says. Wozniak attributes the issue to "bad software." He adds that for more than three months, he has tried in vain to report his findings to Toyota and U.S. government safety officials. "It can be very scary," he says, "I don't know how to get heard."
"While so much of today's news is delivered in sound bites, FORA.tv provides curious audiences the full story behind the day's headlines," says Blaise Zerega, president and CEO of FORA.tv. "Here we have one of the world's smartest engineers, in his own words, weighing in on an important safety issue. This speaks to the strong partnerships we have with top organizations, conferences, and universities, and the high-value that our viewers place on unmediated video."
Wozniak was interviewed by Emmy-award winning journalist Dana King at the Discovery Forum 2010, an event hosted by the Bay Area Discovery Museum. The Bay Area Discovery Museum is a critical resource for preparing children for the challenges of the 21st century. The Discovery Forum serves to increase awareness about the importance of childhood creativity, and raises support for the Museum's educational exhibitions and programs.
FORA.tv partners with more than 160 organizations from the Aspen Institute to Georgetown University to the EG Conference to the Chautauqua Institution to provide the Web's largest library of smart, issues-oriented video. The company is helping reshaping the way audiences discover and engage with media, by making its programs available on top sites like Hulu, TV.com, The Daily Beast, and Huffington Post, as well as the iPhone and other mobile devices.
