British singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has the most copied hair in the UK, according to Rush Hair.

Cheryl’s has consistently been the most copied hair across our salons for 2009, with the trend continuing into 2010

Cheryl Cole has the most asked-for hair of 2010, according to UK hair salon chain Rush. Customers have reportedly been flocking to the company’s salons to copy Cheryl’s latest styles.

Rush Academy Manager Paola Fattorusso said: "Our stylists get requests for celebrity hairstyles every day, and Cheryl’s has consistently been the most copied hair across our salons for 2009, with the trend continuing into 2010."

The salon and hair care products retailer also revealed that Dannii Minogue has become a major hair icon. Each of Dannii's changing styles, similarly showcased on the latest series of The X Factor, have been a big hit in the company’s 49 hair salons across London and the South.

According to the salon, Dannii’s current shorter haircut has even supplanted the ‘pob’, or ‘posh bob’, made popular by Victoria Beckham, as the most desirable short celebrity haircut.

‘Dannii Minogue is very popular now, with people wanting to emulate her highly versatile cropped look,’ said Paola; "Dannii’s haircut really is the new 'pob'.’’

Hair predictions from Rush for 2010

According to Rush, it's time to get creative with those ghd straighteners - the salon predicts that volumised hair styles will be the big hit of 2010, with very straight hair taking a back seat in the style stakes.

"Very straight hair is starting to seem a little last season for many of our customers, who are looking for something fresh and bold for the new decade," said Paola.

‘The overall trend this year will continue to be towards more volumised hair, with a luxurious feel. Cheryl has definitely helped to popularise this look.’

According to Paola, the most sought-after haircut so far this year is a layered style. "The most popular cut of all for 2010 is currently a mid-length, layered look, which is very flattering for the majority of face shapes," she said.
