Blake Mevis and Danny Wells Join Forces with Cauley Music Group

Danny Wells and Blake Mevis have joined Cauley Music Group, a music publishing company based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Cauley Music Group founders Lane Caudell and Bob Crumley recently added considerable songwriting muscle to their team with proven hitmakers Blake Mevis and Danny Wells. Mevis and Wells both join as exclusive songwriters with Mevis in the additional role of General Manager.    

Blake Mevis found his niche in the music industry while working for Loretta Lynn in 1974. Since then he has produced, written or published songs on over 75 million albums. He has written and produced songs for George Strait, Charley Pride, Keith Whitley, Joe Nichols, and others including “Fool Hearted Memory” and “If You’re Thinking You Want A Stranger”, and “Brokenheartsville”. Blake will oversee the day to day operation as well as write exclusively for Cauley Music Group.

Danny Wells is best known for writing “Check Yes or No” for George Strait ,“These Days” for Rascal Flatts, and “Little Bit of Life” for Craig Morgan, he has also written songs for JoDee Messina, Sara Evans, John Michael Montgomery, Chris Young, Joe Diffie, Colin Raye, and many others.
