“At the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, our daily task is to provide justice and relief to those who are suffering through no fault of their own. We are also dedicated to being good corporate citizens within the Durham community.”
Durham, NC (PRWEB) February 5, 2010
People the world over have been moved by the touching images of the Haitian people’s struggle following the devastating earthquake in Port-au-Prince on Jan 12. The employees of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin are no exception.
With the support of its employees and staff, the firm has taken up a donation for the cause. Keeping with its principle of giving back to the community, the firm has collected funds – as well as select medical and infant supplies – for Family Health Ministries, a North Carolina relief agency based in Durham.
Family Health Ministries is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical, educational and other services to underserved populations in culturally-relevant ways. It manages three medical clinics in Haiti located in Blanchard, Leogane and Fondwa. Blanchard and Leogane are located directly outside of Port-au-Prince.
The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin matched all monetary donations made by its employees.
“At the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, our daily task is to provide justice and relief to those who are suffering through no fault of their own. We are also dedicated to being good corporate citizens within the Durham community,” says President and Founder James S. Farrin. “Our support of Family Health Ministries allows us to do both. It is a natural extension to what we do every day.”
The firm also supports organizations in its other 12 office locations, as well as statewide, national and international causes through its many philanthropic pursuits and employee matching-gift program.
